Grand Theft Auto IV, commonly shortened to GTA IV, is a 2008 action adventure video game, developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. As of September 2011, the game had shipped over 22 million copies.
Grand Theft Auto IV won numerous awards from both gaming and mainstream press, including several recognitions as Game of the Year. As of 2012 the game has sold over 25 million copies. It is widely considered to be one of the best video games of all time and a landmark in modern gaming.
